FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad provides young women with opportunities to start their new ventures of boutiques, beauty parlour, embroidery, family functions, catering and foods, said VC Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while he was addressing a workshop.
The workshop was organised by Institute of Rural Home Economics and attended by female students, staff members and others. The VC described the workshop as an ever-attractive event and urged the organisers to make arrangements for holding the same event at Faisalabad Arts Council and Pakistan National Council of Arts, Islamabad. Dr Iqrar said existence of National Institute of Food Science & Technology and Dept of Fibre and Textile Technology distinguishes the Institute of Rural Home Economics from other institutions of the same discipline throughout the province. Later, the VC inspected various stalls and inaugurated the new building of the institute. Director General National Institute of Food Science & Technology Prof Dr Faqir Muhammad Anjum and In charge of the Institute Dr Ayesha Siddique also spoke on the occasion.
