Hot and dry weather caused a bushfire on Margalla hills on Sunday.
The fire had erupted at two points in forests of Margalla hills but the reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Dozens of fire-fighters reached the sites; the firemen were able to control the fire to a certain extent but rising smoke could be seen from various parts of the hill, DawnNews reported.
Fire tenders of Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) fire brigade attempted to put out the fire. But once the fire tenders returned after controlling the flames, smouldering embers blazed once again on Sunday morning due to the heat.
During the summers most of the fire incidents have been occurred on the Margalla Hills.
