At last the cat came out of the bag. The truth about the Memogate case has finally been unveiled by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The findings of the memo commission have proved that the issue was a harsh reality and the leading character of the Memogate conspiracy Mr Hussain Haqqani, the ex- ambassador of Pakistan to Washington, is unfaithful and disloyal to the state of Pakistan. If remained unsolved and unresolved, the memo-gate issue could have been fatally catastrophic and lethally disastrous for the hard earned and democratic system in Pakistan. Time has decided that the memogate scandal was nothing but a conspiracy against democracy and an evil plot against the military institutions of Pakistan. More pathetic is the reality that some of our own people were playing as a tool in the hands of the conspirators. Thanks to God Almighty, we are blessed with a very honest bold and independent judiciary which looked into the matter and set the things right. The honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan has proved it to the world around that Pakistan is a country where supremacy of law is the most dominating social trait. It has also given a lot of confidence to the people of Pakistan that it would never let the conspirators against democracy succeed. And above all the decision of the court has also proved that the bold and honest judiciary and the fearless armed forces of Pakistan have a lot of courage to expose and chain down all the evil spirits which are cunningly busy in conspiring against Pakistan. I still remember the days when the Memogate Scandal was in the offing and so-called lovers and supporters of democracy in Pakistan and outside Pakistan were doing all their best to defame the armed forces of Pakistan and particularly the ISI by their baseless propaganda that the Inter Services Intelligence Agency had planned a conspiracy to overthrow the democratically elected government and parliament by taking help from some Arab dominions who have a strong say in the affairs of the country. Using fictitious anonymous names on Twitter and Face book, such individuals were making appeals to the apex court and the so-called international peacemakers to step into the situation and do something for the prosecution of that time head of the ISI, General Pasha, for hatching conspiracy against democracy. But now things have turned upside down. The decision of the judicial Memo Commission regarding the memo-gate scandal has very clearly proven that Pakistan Army and ISI are the institutions which stand like a rock in the way of every conspiracy against the country and the nation. Be it the Memogate scandal or opening of the Nato supply line or the matter of devising new rules of engagements with the neighbouring countries, these institutions are always there to support the democratic government of Pakistan with all possible sincerity and devotion. In the history of Pakistan the Memogate scandal would always be remembered as the worst example of treachery and treason and in the history of traitors the name of the characters involved in this conspiracy would always remain on the top of the list.
